Call for Abstracts

WVONL is accepting abstracts for poster presentations for the 2024 Annual Fall Conference.

Abstracts submissions are now closed.

Abstracts on the following topics are invited:

  • Leading Change
  • Well-being/resiliency
  • Shaping healthcare through innovation, expert leadership, and collaborative partnerships
  • Policy & Advocacy- Legislative and public policy pertaining to nursing and healthcare issues
  • Partnerships to support a healthy work environment
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging
  • Collaboration and communication among professional healthcare organizations, and excellence in nurse/physician relationships
  • Nursing leadership development
  • Nursing research related to healthcare, practice, and public policy
  • Academic institution and practice setting partnerships
  • Patient care of the future, and the hospital environment for the next generation
  • Transforming care at the bedside, patient-driven care, and exemplars of patient-centered care
  • Nurses transition to practice
  • Enhancing clinical outcomes by leveraging technology
  • Nursing and support services in the clinical setting

The first author of an accepted poster presentation will be notified by September 1, 2024. Acceptance for presentation of the poster at the conference must be confirmed by September 9, 2024.

If the abstract is accepted for a poster presentation:

  • The primary presenter must sign an agreement to present at the conference, register for the conference, and give permission for the duplication of abstract for inclusion of conference proceedings.
  • Each author can be selected for only one poster presentation
  • Instructions for poster format will accompany the acceptance notification
  • Poster will be presented in-person at the 2024 Fall Conference and posted on the WVONL website
  • All people listed on the poster are required to be registered for the conference by the October 11, 2024 deadline.
